    Job Summary

    Our Deli Team Leader is in charge of overseeing the Deli Team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will be the go-to person for Team Members and guests seeking advice on school lunches and holiday party platters. Leaders are responsible for the department's performance consistently. Show leadership by representing the organization professionally. Encourage and support individuals with respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. Regularly coach Team Members, provide timely feedback, identify development opportunities, and guide them to success.

    Job Description

    • Experience Required: Retail work experience or recommendation from Store Leader
    • Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; Successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or similar roles; Satisfactory performance and disciplinary record
    • Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Certification or Licensing Required: Food Safety
    • Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
    • Age Requirement: At least 18 years old

    Job Responsibilities

    • Your main duties may include:
      1. interview, select, and train Team Members;
      2. supervise Team Members' work;
      3. evaluate Team Members' productivity for promotions or role changes;
      4. address Team Member issues and complaints;
      5. enforce disciplinary actions;
      6. plan and assign work tasks;
      7. ensure Team Members' safety and store security;
      8. manage department or location budgets;
      9. handle inventory for the department or location; or
      10. oversee compliance measures
    • Supervise and assess training provided to department Team Members to enhance efficiency and reduce turnover.
    • Lead the team with motivation, emphasizing respect, and setting a positive example.
    • Strategically identify team strengths and opportunities when scheduling and making decisions.
    • Foster future leaders, recognize potential in Team Members for advancement, remembering that our people are our greatest asset.
    • Cultivate an inclusive environment, ensuring every Team Member has a voice.
    • Prioritize safety in all work aspects for Team Members, guests, and products.
    • Inspire the team and guests with a love for food and a commitment to excellence.
    • Achieve challenging sales and profit targets through proactive suggestions while managing shrinkage.
    • Maintain open communication with the team to keep them informed and motivated.
    • Coordinate with the merchandising team to effectively communicate promotions to Team Members and guests.
    • Propose innovative strategies to enhance business operations.
    • Analyze store financial, LOB, and historical reports to enhance sales, profits, and operational efficiency.
    • Conduct regular inventories for accuracy and monitor inventory and shrinkage fluctuations.
