This job listing is for multiple openings for an Echocardiograph Technologist.
The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, under the direction of the Department Director and Manager, is expected to work independently performing a variety of echocardiography procedures to help diagnose heart disorders. Responsibilities include performing transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) on adult, children, and neonatal patients, preparing preliminary echo reports for review by interpreting Physicians or LIP. Stress echocardiograms, both pharmacologic and exercise, will be conducted with assistance from qualified staff. This role also involves acquiring Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) images under supervision and ensuring the accuracy of all exams performed. Individualized patient care is a key aspect of this role, including communication with patients and families, using medical equipment, and participating in diagnostic procedures.
