The Maintenance Assistant will work at the direction of the Maintenance Lead and Facilities Manager with on-site management staff and contractors to address maintenance needs throughout the community.

General requirements include experience in all aspects of commercial building and grounds maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, swimming pools and spas, outdoor water features, landscape, electrical and general maintenance.

This is an hourly position requiring 40 hours per week, some evenings, and some weekends.


Duties

  • Execute all maintenance tasks, reporting weekly activities to Maintenance Lead, or as needed or requested. Facilities include all aspects of the clubhouse in its entirety, entry fountains, lakes, putting course, softball field, concession stand, outdoor restrooms, tennis/pickleball courts, bocce courts, basketball court, walking trail, existing and future parks and amenities included therein, and Association common area. At the direction of Maintenance Lead, work with contractors to schedule contracted work and other services.
  • Comply with and complete WOA maintenance log on a regular basis.
  • Maintain the smooth operation of all WOA facilities and amenities, advising Maintenance
  • Lead or Facilities Manager of any possible issues that would affect the presentation or functionality of the facilities.
  • Representing the WOA, establish and maintain positive working relationships with all coworkers and contractors providing services to gain the best possible overall results.
  • As requested, provide availability for services and activities outside the total normal scheduled 40 hours per week, as requested.
  • Coordinate all special projects or programs as directed by General Manager, Facilities
  • Manager, Maintenance Lead, or Activities Coordinator.
  • Provide support to all recognized WOA groups and clubs, in coordination with direction from management.
  • Open clubhouse and other amenities according to the agreedupon hours and following the established WOA opening procedure.
  • As needed, close the clubhouse and other amenities according to the agreedupon hours and following the established WOA closing procedure.
  • Execute setup and takedown of all community events, classes and other programs as directed by Maintenance Lead, Activities Coordinator or other WOA staff, working in conjunction with the WOA procedures.
  • Execute setup and takedown of all outside rental events, as directed by the Activities Coordinator or other staff.
  • Prepare softball field for games as directed, typically twice weekly, March
  • October.
  • At the direction of Facilities Manager, Maintenance Lead, Activities Coordinator, or
  • Business Office Manager, run errands, pick up supplies, etc. at various local merchants.
  • Provide general support for WOA monitors and other office staff at the direction of the
  • Business Office Manager, Maintenance Lead or Activities Coordinator.

Requirements:

Minimum two (2) years of multifamily residential maintenance required. Trade school or industry designation preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Vehicle and good driving record required.

Pay:
$ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
