Fast Growing Public Works Construction Company is seeking a full-time accountant to join our team. The position would report directly to the General Manager and President


Responsibilities as follows:

Oversee banking and cash processes.

Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions.

Pay Union dues and comply with Union audits

Job Costing

Accounts Receivables and Payables

Prepare Bank Deposits and merchant reconciliation

Credit Card transactions Recordings.

Aging Reports

Client Billings

Coordinate payroll via Paychex

Quarterly and year end financial Statements


Desired Sills and Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related major experience

3-7 years of accounting experience with work references

Complete knowledge of GAAP accounting

Experience in prevailing wage

Experience in Union compliance

Must have strong time management skills with ability to prioritize work

Knowledge of QuickBooks preferably Sage Construction Software
