- The ideal candidate will have at least two full years of childcare experience and at least 30 credits or more in related educational studies and have a passion for working with young children.
- Our infant program serves babies ages 6 weeks through 14 months & is designed to help them grow & develop in a nurturing, supportive environment.
- This teacher must qualify as a Group Supervisor (requirements below) and will work collaboratively with the our One-year-old classroom to prepare children for transitions.
- Work cooperatively with fellow lead teachers & group supervisors to implement center's curriculum and create a nurturing and immersive school environment.
- Help create a safe and stimulating classroom for children.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
- Analyze, summarize, and complete developmental assessments using school materials on a trimester basis.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or Children and Families.
- 2 years of experience in early childcare, childcare, education, or related experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs., see, hear and sit on the floor with children.
- To pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- To be of legal age or older and legally able to work in the United States.
- This is a full-time position.
- Pay ranges from $ per hour depending on degree & years of experience, with an increase reflective of performance after completing your first 90 days.
- Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK.
- Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, time-off, sick days, reduced childcare & more.
