    Description

    The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will provide comprehensive and expert financial analysis and system administration support to the Strategic Sourcing and Total Quality teams to enable the execution of sourcing, distribution, quality management and inventory management requirements for Red Lobster's seafood product categories. In addition to supporting the Seafood team on sourcing and distribution activities, the Analyst will have day-to-day responsibility for analyzing, monitoring and reporting inventory requirements and variances. The Analyst interacts daily with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels to provide guidance and recommendations to ensure the successful execution of seafood sourcing, distribution and inventory management requirements.
    Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert financial and inventory management analysis and systems support to the Strategic Sourcing and Total Quality teams
  • Solicits, analyzes and communicates supplier pricing and inventory data
  • Executes product deployment and inventory management tasks for all seafood product categories at the direction of Strategic Sourcing, Total Quality and Inventory Management leadership
  • Collaborates with Finance and Inventory Management teams to analyze and manage enterprise-level seafood inventory and product forecasts
  • Generates and communicates purchase and sales orders for fresh and frozen seafood using Red Lobster's internal systems
  • Organizes product samples as required for internal and external product quality reviews and coordinates logistics requirements with Distribution team
  • Builds and generates detailed reports and KPIs to evaluate and report category and product level inventory management performance
  • Generates and presents weekly frozen seafood retention reports and recommends actions to mitigate inventory retention / shelf life expiration risk
  • Assists in reviewing and documenting product specifications and food quality / safety requirements using Red Lobster's product specification database
  • Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and contributes to training material development
  • Monitors accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities for the seafood department and maintains daily communication with the Accounting team
  • Assists Strategic Sourcing and Distribution teams with domestic and international product transfers, including management of product information requirements with customs brokers and governmental agencies
  • Collaborates with Total Quality team on internal and external seafood inspections, including interactions with third parties and governmental agencies
    • Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in business data processing, reporting, or analysis
  • Expert status in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business or related field
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience with forecasting, inventory management, supply / demand planning and/or procurement
  • Familiarity with quality management software.
  • Experience with Crunchtime, Oracle, SharePoint and other ERP / cloud technology
