Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist
Location
Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, GA
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist with strong experience in L&D, particularly in Cesarean sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and dilation and curettage procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support in the surgical setting and must possess the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures within the Labor and Delivery department.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgeries.
- Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Participate in patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Be available for on-call shifts, approximately every 6 weeks.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery surgical tech.
- National Certification Card.
- Completed skills checklist relevant to specialty.
- Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
- Strong references.
