    Description

    Job Description:

    • This Systems Administrator position is in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command Code 03S (NAVSEA 03S) Digital Industrial Operations (DIO)Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) Program.
    • NMMES is composed of IT systems, applications, networks, and data centers that serve as business operations and financial management tools for over 45,000 users executing Navy ship and submarine maintenance, overhaul, and repair at facilities across the United States and worldwide.
    • The Systems Administrator will support the NMMES Program Office as part of either the Infrastructure and Operations Support Team or the Software Services Support Team in Norfolk, VA

    Position expectations and duties include the following:

    • Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
    • Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
    • Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
    • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • May lead and direct the work of others

    Required Skills and Experiences:

    • At least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
    • Must be a U.S
    citizen.
