Your responsibilities

  • Manage the development, ordering, and validation process for test equipment at Sheldahl
  • Review product test specifications with R&D (preferred)
  • Provide guidance to suppliers on ABB production requirements
  • Assist R&D with developing production test strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Adhere to design guidelines and standards, including design for excellence criteria
  • Control investments for new or updated products
  • Collaborate closely with Supplier Quality, R&D, Planning and Fulfillment team, Procurement, and Logistics teams
  • Maintain ABB asset database
  • Support continuous improvement projects at Sheldahl's Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
  • Follow Lean Six Sigma principles

Your background

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware development, Industrial Engineering, Test Engineering, or Test Design at an EMS
  • Preferably a Master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design and production processes
  • Basic understanding of LabView and/or TestStand
  • Professional experience in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) or introducing new products in mass production, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and
