Job Summary:
We are seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team You will perform surgical assistant duties to help our patients have the best experience possible.
The Surgical Assistant will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the successful completion of surgical procedures.
Our oral surgery practice has been an integral part of our community's oral health success for over 40 years. At BVOMS, the best interest of the patient is our only interest.We are looking for an individual that promotes a positive image to our patients, referring doctors and the general public.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service for the patient when they come in for surgery
- Prepare patient and surgical suite for surgery
- Sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays and prepare materials for surgery
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies, including managing medical and dental emergencies.
- Take and record medical/dental histories, vital signs and treatment information in patient records
- Schedule post operative appointments
- Send prescriptions
- Check in patients for surgery, collect estimated co insurance, give after care instructions and schedule post op appointments
- Take xrays and digital impression scans
- Maintain patient privacy through HIPAA
- Help your teammates when needed.

Our compensation package includes a salary, medical benefits, 401K, profit sharing, life insurance options, paid time off and holiday pay.
Pay:
$ $21.57 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 35 per week

Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- College Station, TX required)
Ability to Relocate:
- College Station, TX 77845: Relocate before starting work (required)
