Hello My name is Andrea, and 2 and a half years ago I adopted a 2-month-old Belgian Malinois shepherd in Homewood, IL. She has brought so much joy to my life, but my partner, family, and I have had to learn a lot and improve in many areas to properly care for her. As we were unfamiliar with the breed, we have been learning about her behaviors and she has been showing her true character. Currently, we are having trouble with walks as we cannot go to areas with vehicles, bikes, runners, or children, so we have been avoiding these places. I would like to correct this issue, as she is a very good dog, but I feel like we are not handling her properly. We are teaching her out of fear, both hers and ours, and I do not want this to be the way. I would love to learn about your training methods and the options available for her.
