We are hiring a Delivery Technician in our Scarborough, Maine branch. This is a PART-TIME position with up to 20+ flexible hours per week. Job Summary:


  • The person in this position is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of infusion medications, supplies, and equipment to NELC patients._

Responsibilities:

Assists in the planning and development of efficient delivery routes.

Completes delivery vehicle inspection according to required schedule utilizing inspection checklist.


Ensures that delivery vehicle is properly maintained according to the manufacturer's guidelines and that vehicle is maintained in a clean, organized manner.

Reviews delivery tickets to ensure that all appropriate packages are loaded into vehicle.


Accurately delivers patient items according to the delivery ticket and expected schedule; notifies patient/caregiver if scheduled delivery time has changed.


Assists patient/caregiver with validation of delivered items, rotation of stock when necessary and placement of delivered items in appropriate area of home as directed.

Provided ongoing education to patient/caregiver regarding rotation of stock, proper storage of medications and supplies and emergency procedures.


Monitors patient environment for unsafe conditions; provides education to patient/caregiver regarding safe home environment; reports unsafe home environment conditions to supervisor.


Ensures that appropriate patient documentation is completed, signed by the patient/caregiver and returned to the branch on a daily basis; documents reason for lack of patient/caregiver signature on delivery ticket and where delivery was left if patient/caregiver not home to receive.

Adheres to NELC's professional appearance standards.

Performs other duties / projects as assigned by direct supervisor.


Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver's license.

Excellent driving record.

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficiency in the English language.

Good organizational skills.

Dependability in attendance and job performance.


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in customer service field.

Previous experience in healthcare field.

Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy regulations.

Ability to effectively manage through difficult situations.
