Duties:


  • Plan, coordinate, and implement high level military/civilian visits and functions that support the command.
  • Serve as Event Coordinator for the command in the planning, development, and execution of high visibility activities.
  • Ensure that security requirements are met, depending on level of speaker and guests, to include coordinating for building security checks.
  • Track action suspense dates and Command correspondence released by the COS.
  • Maintain signature authority, determining which documents may be signed.
  • Write and edit formal programs for various workshops, conferences, and social events.
  • Initiate phone calls and outgoing electronic messages to inform personnel of impending visits, security clearance, etc.
  • Arrange proper escorts for, or personally escorts visiting dignitaries and distinguished visitors, ensuring proper parking facilities and clearance passes are available.

  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by determining proper protocol in connection with ceremonies, receptions, official luncheons and/or dinners; coordinating the execution of official and social functions or events for an organization; providing advice on matters pertaining to legal use of funds for official events; and composing guest lists, invitations or correspondence utilizing office automation equipment.

or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
Communications, Human Resources Management or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

Add the two percentages.
