TECHNICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - NUTRITION

Key Responsibilities:


  • Possess deep insight, knowledge, and background in proteins.
  • Industry Expertise: Preferred experience and knowledge in the beverage industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with Proteins is a plus.
  • Build and create market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing
  • Collaboratively support the national sales team to develop and close new business of Nutritional ingredients within the existing customer base.
  • Develop new and emerging Nutritional targeted account plans through customer need state analysis, unique value offerings, challenges/pain points, and sales growth strategy.
  • Responsible for working with the Sales Team and relevant Product Managers in alignment with company objectives.
  • Understand the competitive landscape in the nutritional market insights and effectively communicate across key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements and negotiating contract requirements.
  • Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Personal Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of National, Key, or Strategic Accounts sales experience with a Food Industry background
  • Specialty in technical support or solution selling of nutritional ingredients.
  • Consultative selling with a hunter mentality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills; Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Confident selfstarter, highly motivated, and able to thrive in a resultsdriven environment.
  • Natural relationship builder with solid integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Ability to prioritize time within competing tasks.
  • Domestic travel is required (International travel possible) as permitted within safety guidelines.

Education and Formal Training:


  • Bachelor's Degree in sciences (food science, biology, etc.) or technical equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft platformbased CRM experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Microsoft D365 experience is a plus.
