    Description

    A local California civil engineering firm is hiring a Survey Technician Party Chief in Irvine or West Los Angeles.

    The Survey Technician Party Chief will

    • Lead, direct, and perform the work of field survey crew chief for boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
    • Performs related research, plan reviews, and calculations to determine grades and locations of improvements on construction plans.
    • Mentors and trains less experienced Survey Technicians.
    • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of robotic and GPS survey equipment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional and courteous manner with teammates and clients.

    Successful Candidates will have

    • 5+years general field surveying experience that includes serving as survey party chief OR 3-years experience with a two-year formal education in the surveying or engineering field
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Familiarity with geometric and trigonometry principles.
    • Strong working knowledge and experience setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
    • PLS/LSIT not required but desired

    Predicted Salary Range:

    $80,000 - $135,000
