Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits.
- Take vital signs, record patient medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist with minor medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
- Educate patients and families on medical procedures, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including stocking supplies and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient care delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
Must speak Spanish:
- Knowledge of procedures, and basic clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Compassion, empathy, and patience when dealing with pediatric patients and their families.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Pay:
$ $15.26 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
