Description

We are currently seeking an experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join the team at Pembroke Park Transfer Station in Pembroke Park, FL.

Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus, but willing to train the right candidate.

The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Saturday working 40- hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform daily machine maintenance and reporting.
Loading tractor trailers with trash using excavator and Loader.
Pushing and sorting material using Loader and Excavator
Perform maintenance around the site and facilities.
Spotting and directing customer traffic around facility.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 3+ years of experience
Experience Operating Excavator, Loader and Forklift.
House keeping around Site and Heavy Equipment.

Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility
Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
Must demonstrate safe professional behavior at all times.
