    SUMMARY

    This position will oversee the implementation of residential programmatic activities for the At Risk and STGH/QRTP programs on the Enterprise campus, coordinate ancillary services when necessary, and work with staff to assure compliance with contract and governmental regulations and to ensure program standards, in partnership with the VP of Residential Treatment, are maintained.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree in social work or in a related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least four (4) years of experience working with children; or master's degree from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience in social services.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Management experience in direct care or social services field, required
    • Experience in the Teaching Family Model, preferred
    • Crisis Intervention and de-escalation experience
    • Experience with at-risk children with challenging behaviors
    • Strong supervision, administration, and team building skills
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have sensitivity to our population's varied cultural and socioeconomic statuses
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Responsible for the supervision of direct care staff, including Residential Managers, who are providing residential services to youth
    • Maintain complete oversight of the Residential Programs under this role's purview to ensure healthy program operations.
    • Identify trends within the program and implement systems or protocols for improvements.
    • Must work with multiple departments to ensure that residential services operate within contractual and statutory requirements while supporting the needs of the youth in care
    • Interpret and enforce all applicable internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all aspects of residential functions and programming
    • Ensure fidelity of the Teaching Family Model of Care. Participate in conferences and facilitate trainings for new staff in conjunction with the Agency Trainer
    • Ensure appropriate administration and oversite of the minimum service delivery outlined by each program, including documentation of supervision, formalized staff observations, and staff coaching and development
    • Ensure constant and effective communication of staff expectation and performance throughout the year at all levels of supervision within the residential programs. Support Residential Managers in giving regular staff feedback and coaching, as needed
    • Manage decision making to ensure the best interest of all residential programs in partnership with the VP of Residential Treatment and other leadership, as appropriate.
    • Manage staffing patterns and staff coverage to ensure staffing ratios in each program are met and youth are served at the highest quality of care
    • Will work evenings, overnight and weekends as part of a rotating on-call schedule
    • Travel to remote worksites to assist in implementation of residential events, as needed
    • Assist in youth transportation, via car, van or bus transportation, to offsite appointments and activities, as needed
    • Assist in organization-wide storm preparations, as needed
    • Assist on campus with de-escalation of youth
    • Ensures staff participation in team decisions by fostering a collegial working environment
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the VP of Residential Treatment
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
    • Valid Florida's Driver's License
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES
    • Provide supervision to the Residential Managers and direct care staff.
      LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers and clients.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus in order to properly construct reports.
