LOCATION:
OTHERWORLD PHILADELPHIA

Otherworld Philadelphia opened in the summer of 2023 as a joint venture between Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group and Otherworld.

Otherworld Philadelphia is a new kind of art and entertainment experience that combines elements of community, art, and self-expression with those of immersive theater, escape rooms, children's museums, and haunted houses.

Otherworld was designed to be both a tourist attraction and events venue.





WORK TYPE:
ONSITE TO START, THEN HYBRID


We envision this role primarily working onsite due to demand for site walks and greeting groups and clients upon arrival at the attraction.

During the initial probationary period, we would like this role onsite, and then open to adjusting to a 4 days onsite, 1 at home, if preferred.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive corporate events and group sales revenue and achieve business objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, tour operators, schools, and other group organizers to generate sales leads and bookings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and creative, to develop customized event packages and proposals tailored to clients' needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate logistics and communicate the setup and plan of private events, ensuring seamless coordination of activities, staffing, and resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, providing exceptional customer service, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in group sales and events.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Work closely with the Operations team, providing clear client expectations, guidance and support to ensure their success in event execution. This role is not required to stay for the entirety of the event, nor manage the event team. This role will ensure a solid handoff to the Manager on Duty before leaving the property.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in group sales and selling corporate events, preferably in the Greater Philadelphia area in attractions, entertainment or hospitality industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clientele.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering extraordinary experiences and exceeding client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, as needed to greet clients for the kickoff of their events. This role is not expected to stay for the duration of the event.
  • This position will provide site walks throughout attraction with clients upon request.
  • Occasionally helps move event equipment weighing up to 25lbs during event setup.
  • A positive, cando attitude is required.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced work environment.
  • Must pass the company background screen and reference check.
