Position Summary:

Ensure the quality and compliance of mechanical materials used in the production process. This position involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating incoming materials to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.

The QC Inspector collaborates with production teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain a high standard of material quality and support the smooth functioning of manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Material Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of incoming mechanical materials, such as metals, alloys, and other components, to verify their conformity with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Testing and Documentation: Conduct various mechanical tests, such as hardness tests, tensile strength tests, dimensional measurements, and visual inspections, to assess material properties and document results accurately.
  • Assist manufacturing shop personnel to interpret norms and regulation by applicable standards.
  • Open nonconformance reports to keep track of necessary corrections of our fabrication activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including photographs, test reports, and relevant documentation.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is regularly calibrated and properly maintained to guarantee accurate and reliable results.

Skills, Qualifications, Certifications, Licenses, Training:


  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, particularly in mechanical materials inspection, is highly desirable.
  • Use and calibration of measurement instruments. Able to handle different unit systems.
  • Organized and proactive, good reporting abilities.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment and safety procedures.

Work Environment

  • Work is generally not performed within an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild in office and moderate in the manufacturing shop area.
