Licensed and appointed NYCDOE SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER


SELECTION CRITERIA:


EXCELLENT RECORD OF ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

ADHERENCE TO SCHOOL POLICIES AND PRACTICES

DEMONSTRATED GOOD COMMUNICATIONS AND HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS
KNOWLEDGEABLE IN SCHOOL COMMUNITY EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, AND ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

PLAN TO SUPPORT INSTRUCTION AND SHARE RESOURCES WITH COLLEAGUES


DEVELOP CURRICULUM TO IMPROVE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
SUPPORT SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS OF STUDENTS AND FAMILIES


SUPPORT ATTENDANCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE
IMPLEMENT SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES TO IMPROVE SCHOOL CLIMATE AND CULTURE

COLLECT AND UPDATE USE DATA TO DETERMINE ACADEMIC NEEDS


WORK SCHEDULE:

September 3, December 20, 2024

Monday - Friday, except on school holidays and weekends. Schedules may vary, up to 40 hours.

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.


SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
