Role Description
Wurth IT USA is seeking multiple experienced and talented VMware, SAN, and Storage Administrators to join our dynamic team.

As a VMware, SAN, and Storage Administrator at Würth IT, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our virtualization and storage infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with an international team, and contribute to the success of a renowned company.

This is a full-time hybrid role at Wurth IT USA (3 days onsite).


Responsibilities

• Administer VMware environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Manage Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage systems, with a focus on IBM and Hitachi technologies.
• Collaborate with an international team to ensure seamless integration and support for global IT infrastructure. Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring mínimal downtime and efficient resolution.
• Implement and enforce best practices for data storage and disaster recovery.
• Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and technology evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with VMware & multiple storage systems
• Proficiency in managing SAN and storage systems, particularly with IBM and Hitachi technologies.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage protocols, and data center technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people abroad.

Location
Wurth IT USA is in the process of identifying its location in Chicago, IL. We will be in one of the northern suburbs, likely in Deerfield/Buffalo Groves/Vernon Hills area. This position requires onsite work 2-3 days per week.

Since we do not have a location yet, the position will start working remotely and transition to a hybrid work environment once the office is set up.
