- A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.
- Orthopedics, Joint, and Spine experience required.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assist in setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile solutions before operations.
- Follow hospital regulations and procedures for pre-operation patient care.
- Perform pre-operation preparations for patients' skin, body, and medical equipment.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery and positioning them on the operating table.
- Observe vital signs, assist in operating room preparations, and provide support to the surgical team.
- Handle instruments, supplies, and specimens during surgery.
- Operate medical equipment and assist in post-operative patient care.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills suitable for patient care at different ages.
- Understand the principles of patient growth and development.
- Proficient in nursing processes and effective communication.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients.
- Concentration for up to four hours.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy for data entry and monitoring.
