  • POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervison of a pharmacist, performs the technical tasks involved with the storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs. Completes associated recordkeeping and charging activities. Ability to use automated drug dispensing systems, vertical and laminar flow hoods, department pharmacy computer systems as required. Current registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technican.

    Qualifications

    What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician required.
  • Preferred:

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program approved by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is preferred.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Board Certification within 6 months of hire is preferred.
