Summary
Develops, supports, and manages data intake, validation, normalization, and integration processes, interfaces, and databases for Patient Experience management.

Works to ensure the quality and integrity of data via analysis, normalization, and standardization of information and is able to transform data into actionable information.

Is able to visually display information that is easy to understand, meets end-user needs. Utilizes external databases so assist with benchmarking and goal setting for projects.

Collaborates with Patient Care Services Leadership, Patient Safety, Clinical Informatics, IS and clinical and business analysts and data management specialists to establish standards, controls, and procedures to promote data exchange integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness.


Job Duties

  • Summarize complex findings through appropriate methods of data visualization. Utilize specific visualization based upon the most appropriate use (when or why to use bar charts, control charts, run charts, etc.) Incorporate appropriate elements to create and informative graphs.
  • Acquires, validates, and understands data; and is able to transform data into valuable, actionable information. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of clinical information available in internal and external database a
  • Helps to design, implement, and support data warehouses and data interfaces utilized for Patient Experience data management.
  • Oversees data acquisition, data profiling, data cleansing, data quality, and auditing efforts related to patient experience measures.
  • Compiles and analyzes complex data sets to identify barriers, quality deficiencies, unexpected trends or patterns, and summarizes and communicates such findings to Leadership.
  • Assists in the orientation of new management personnel and serves as a resource for data structure and data analysis techniques.
  • Creates standard work documentation for all data related processes in Patient Experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
  • Less than 1 year in a clinical setting or
  • 2 years experience in data mining, profiling, validation, transformation, and database development
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in data analysis, data mining, informatics, or advanced analytics

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs.
