Description
The Landscape Technician has the responsibility to participate in an efficient and comprehensive landscape maintenance program. This includes having the responsibility for routine landscape maintenance, light building maintenance/carpentry repairs, and light cleaning. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain grass, trees, shrubbery, and ground surface covers.


In this role you will respond to colleague and business requested work orders and have a routine schedule of work orders to complete.


Primary responsibilities include:


  • Work with the landscaping team in daily tasks. Assist as needed for scheduled/unscheduled absences. Help with equipment maintenance and repairs. Assist Landscape Manager and Landscape Tech Lead with coordination of deliveries.
  • Follow proper training and best practices in equipment use, maintenance and daily tasks. Work daytoday groundskeeping operations of multiple retail banking and main office facilities.
  • Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties as required. Assist in mowing lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower when needed to expedite work orders or cover for colleagues on PTO. Recommend specific plants, trees, grass, or other landscape features dependent on local site conditions and established Citizens standards.
  • Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping. Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required. Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed. Clean gutters and roof drains of debris.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping. Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards.
  • Close out work orders upon completion via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System. Respond to emergency and nonemergency service requests and prioritize work order response. Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • 1 or more years of experience in landscape maintenance required
  • Ability to travel using a company sanctioned vehicle (ex: box truck/pickup truck) as required
  • Demonstrated experience to successfully complete multiple tasks independently in an accurate and timely manner in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to plan & prioritize daily responsibilities with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills along with proven positive customer service experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without any accommodation or assistance and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions at varying heights (ladders, roof top, etc.) as required

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated job stability
  • Prior commercial landscape work experience

Education, Licensures, & Certifications:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Valid active State Driver's License required
  • OSHA or Landscape related certifications preferred

Hours & Work Schedule:


  • Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
  • Work Schedule: M-F 7:00am 3:30pm ET and may include occasional OT evenings or weekends
