TITLE:
Youth Enrichment Program Instructor


REPORTS TO:
Program Director


JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Part-time/Non-Exempt


JOB SUMMARY:


Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Youth Program Instructor will represent the Old Colony Y in a positive professional manner, resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous service.

The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for teaching classes as assigned. They are also responsible for the safety and well being of all class participants.


JOB FUNCTION

  • Program/Department Responsibilities
  • Instruction of assigned classes, teaching proper techniques and form of appropriate skills
  • To have good skills and experience of the indicated program area
  • To keep accurate attendance records and class records
  • To evaluate students ability level(s)
  • To explain progress and procedures to parents
  • To prepare class areas with necessary equipment/supplies
  • To maintain order and safety in class
  • Instruction of proper use of materials or equipment
  • Facility/housekeeping responsibility
  • To clean area after class, reporting any damaged or broken equipment to supervisor immediately

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old

Knowledgeable about enrichment area

Ability to work with people of all ages
