    We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer that is focused in the Data Infrastructure who is self-starter to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment that can join our Enterprise Data team. This is an individual that is responsible for maintaining the data pipelines up and running every day within the stablished SLAs and at the same time can modify, optimize and maximize the level of service of all the data services of the company, these includes queries and data infrastructure.

    You will:
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for major incidents and recurring issues, documenting findings, and recommending long-term solutions or process improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Understanding data ingestion and Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) processes is crucial for resolving issues related to data pipeline activities.
  • A strong understanding of Databricks and Apache Spark is preferred for troubleshooting data pipeline issues. This includes knowledge of Spark job execution, data ingestion, transformations, and optimizations.
  • Proficiency in SQL is important for querying and manipulating data within Databricks. Additionally, knowledge of programming languages like Python or Scala enables support personnel to analyse and debug code related to data pipeline activities.
  • The individual would be benefited from being well-versed with data visualization and reporting concepts. This allows them to assist end users with actual issues on visualization and data components.
    • You have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 6+ years' work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience as a data engineer, backend engineer, infrastructure engineer, or similar role working with cloud-based data technologies.
  • Strong background in big data processing frameworks like Hadoop, Spark or Flink.
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one major programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks.
  • Well-versed in CI/CD tooling and practices.
    • Nice to have:
  • Experience building data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools like Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow is beneficial.
  • Architecture & data certifications that are cloud related (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate, Data Engineer Pro, etc).
  • Databricks certified.
