Position:
Warehouseman/ Forklift Operator. (Houston)


Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for warehouse operations and coordinating several functions with the Facility Manager, including but not limited to assisting blenders, receiving, offloading and loading packaged goods, inventory process, tracking new shipments and orders, inspecting and maintaining various equipment (e.g., forklifts, tote tanks).


Worksite:
The facility is in Houston, Texas (Houston Ship Channel Area). The companys headquarters is in Gretna, Louisiana. (The greater New Orleans area).


Work Schedule: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday


Essential Job Duties:


  • Initiate warehouse operations each day (open doors for business, turn on boiler fans, air compressor and heat box as needed. Compressor.
  • Gauge all tanks in tank farms, inspect pipes and connections.
  • Periodic inventory reports and inventory management
  • Check blend orders and shipments to be filled each day.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Assist warehouse with filling and shipping order.
  • Assist is incoming load verification, offloading and loading of packaged goods
  • Note all special shipping instructions, ensure those instructions are followed.
  • Documenting (written and photo) of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Responsible for all warehouse areas, including blend area.
  • Ensure all safety requirements and precautions are followed and taken.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At Least 18 Years of Age.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable Transportation to and from Work.
  • High School Diploma (or its equivalent).
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • At Least Six Months of Heavy Manual-Labor Work Experience.

Physical Requirements:

All offers of employment are conditioned on passing a drug screen (a DOT test, and a non-DOT hair test) and a fit-for-duty physical examination.
