  • The Floorcare Technician, under the direction of the Floorcare Supervisor/Manager, performs floorcare functions to maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the facility for the health, comfort, and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.

  • Job Standards_
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of related floor care experience, previous experience in a healthcare or residential facility desirable
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, directions, equipment manuals, schedules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, with a team and in cooperation with others
  • Ability and availability to work:
  • Weekends not to exceed two per month
  • Holidays not to exceed two per year
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include, "oncall", weekends and/or holidays
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to know or learn how to use floor care and housekeeping equipment, economical use of supplies, care of equipment, and health care cleaning technique.
  • Ability to safely perform all essential job functions without causing harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, which includes ability to: lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs., move objects or equipment on campus, set up rooms for special events, maintaining and storing of equipment, accomplish tasks and solve problems.
  • Help other St. Camillus Departments with tasks including Housekeeping.
  • Ability to safely perform and assist in essential functions with regard to fire safety, smoke alarms and resident wanderguard.
