- Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and counseling staff.
- Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decision.
- Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process for all job vacancies.
- Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation. and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Collect and verify candidate information including scheduling pre-employment screenings, DOT's.
- Administer and process new hire paperwork and conduct all new hire orientations.
- Assist with wellness programs, events, and other HR services.
- Record performances, grievance, and disciplinary information.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee database and personnel files.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Conducts periodic audits to ensure all required documents are collected and filed.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization, meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties etc.
- Preparation of various HR related reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain department budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources
- Associates degree (preferred)
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive experience.
- People oriented and results driven with strong people skills, with an ability to foster healthy employee relations.
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Proficient use of O365 suite; strong IT knowledge
- Strong leadership and problem resolution skills
- Solid written and verbal communication
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR bet practices.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (including payroll systems and ATS)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion
