Responsibilities

The dual study program takes place in cooperation with the University Medicine Rostock. It enables students to support pregnant women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. They provide advice and care. Another task is to independently lead births, recognize complications during labor, and monitor them independently. Documenting the course of labor is mandatory. The placement will take place at the University Medicine as well as in midwifery practices, home birth practices, and the perinatal center for neonatology at the Greifswald location.

Qualifications

Requirements and admission to the training:

Minimum age of 17 years
Good health for the training (not older than three months before the start of the training)
General higher education entrance qualification or specialized high school diploma in the health sector
Previous three-week internship in midwifery is mandatory
