Position overview

What this job involves

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all mail and couriers, coordinating pickup and delivery, and ensuring the receipt of goods. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work well in a team will be critical in supporting a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at a client site.

What is your day to day:
Preparing courier packages and coordinating pick-up and delivery
Confirming delivery/receipt with appropriate stakeholders
Resolving any related issues in a timely manner
Supporting the shipment and receipt of goods for production/storage
Making arrangements for carrier pick-up based on shipping instructions
Maintaining an adequate supply of shipping materials
Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
Keeping the work area and equipment clean and orderly
Following prescribed safety regulations
Complying with all policies and procedures of JLL and the client facility
Performing any other duties and tasks assigned

Desired experience and technical skills

Requirements:

Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
High degree of accuracy for handling sensitive equipment and routing shipments
Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedures
Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and/or visual)
Ability to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly

Preferred:

At least one (1) year working in the Manufacturing industry
High school diploma or equivalent qualification
