    A nation leading manufacturer, since 1925, is looking to hire an Automation and Controls Engineer to their team of highly skilled individuals located near Baltimore, MD.

    The Automation and Controls Engineer will act as both a Project and Process Engineer for the plant and support the maintenance manager and the maintenance department's efforts.


    Main Job Responsibilities:

    • Complete installation of project equipment, complete all appropriate training for operations and maintenance personnel and develop all required SOPs and PMs for those projects
    • Evaluate plant equipment needs and recommend to the plant manager equipment to be purchased
    • Troubleshoot and upgrade manufacturing equipment controls
    • Lead in the installation of controls and auxiliaries on production equipment
    • Perform routine system administration and maintenance activities (such as system monitoring, backup, etc.)
    for control networks and Allen-Bradley PLC Systems

    • Provide on call support to Manufacturing in the area of automation troubleshooting
    • Provide troubleshooting support on control systems
    process/manufacturing

    related issues

    • Assist to maintain implementation control strategies for automated processes and equipment

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred
    • A minimum of two years electrical engineering experience in manufacturing required
    • Strong competency in PLC programming (preferably Allen Bradley Panel View, VFDs, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting required
    • Working knowledge of industrial electricity (power distribution, motor controls, etc.)
