Supportive Live-in Household Manager Role Available

A man in his mid-30s, working as a professional in the hotel development industry, is looking for an individual with an eye for detail, a health-oriented lifestyle, and a systems/process-oriented perspective to fill the open position of Household Manager.

This man lives with a significant physical disability, which he has had since birth, and which has progressed to the level that he now needs to have a caregiver available 24/7 to assist him with nearly all physical tasks of daily living, such as bed mobility, bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and feeding.

Nonetheless, he is a very autonomous individual who selects and directs his own caregiving team, and these tasks are completed in accordance with his own standards and preferences.

Prior caregiving experience is not required for this role, and a willingness to learn and adapt is crucial.

When it comes to his professional pursuits, he is incredibly disciplined and rigorously pursues growth in a sustainable manner.

He graduated salutatorian in his high school class of 700 students, and earned 2 bachelors degrees within 4 years at an Ivy League University.

He has worked at 2 of the 5 largest technology companies in the world, served as COO for multiple small businesses, and managed a portfolio of commercial & residential real estate.

He values efficiency, innovation, and a supportive work environment.


Balance is important to him, as he also believes in proper rest, relaxation, and self-care, for both himself and his team.

He generally wakes up at 5 AM, is in bed by 9:30 PM, mostly eats organic & home-cooked food (he avoids pork), and exercises for 1-2 hours daily.

Having previously pursued public speaking and "stand up" comedy as hobbies, he is known for his eloquence as well as his dry sense of humor.

These days, he tends to prefer quieter environments that are conducive to quality conversation, and also enjoys exploring music and art experiences.


He is rather pragmatic and mínimalistic when it comes to spending/consumption, and tends to be generous with those close to him.

He has residences in the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, where he often travels during the summers.

He doesn't travel much otherwise, given the extent of his physical needs, and because he feels best in a warm climate with a modern, wheelchair friendly environment.

He is fortunate to be well-traveled from his younger years, when it was logístically simpler, and South Florida is his home for the foreseeable future, as he enjoys warm temperatures (the thermostat is generally set to 75° during the day, and 72° at night).


This position of Household Manager involves managing household grocery/supply inventory, meal planning, directing & overseeing meal preparation & household chores by caregivers, providing companionship, compassionate/soothing touch, and completing other errands as needed to keep the household running smoothly.

The person filling this position may pursue a separate, compatible career/occupation, or, with time, take on additional roles within the household, leading to efficiencies and justifying additional compensation (hence the range indicated).


Responsibilities include:


  • Managing and supervising a caregiving team to ensure highquality meals and a cohesive working environment for the client
  • Coordinating daily household operations, including scheduling, task assignment, and overseeing household maintenance for smooth and efficient operations
  • Providing active companionship and support, fostering a positive and supportive relationship
  • Assisting with meal planning and overseeing preparation to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including managing online grocery orders and meal schedules
  • Ensuring the household remains clean and wellorganized through creating simple, effective systems that the caregiving team can follow
  • Looking after two small cats, ensuring their wellbeing
  • Managing transportation for appointments and activities to ensure punctuality and reliability
  • Being flexible to travel with client as needed, managing responsibilities while on the move
