- Experience with logging, search, and/or aggregation tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Prometheus
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
- Well-organized, independent and ready to work with minimal supervision
- Working with Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
- Working knowledge in Java, C/C++, and Matlab
- Familiarity with VMWare virtualization tools
- Familiarity with GitLab
- Experience with databases such as SQL, PostreQL, and MySQL
- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services

The Technology Discovery and Prototyping Department in the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking highly motivated, self-starting DevSecOps Research and Development Engineers to join our team.
ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
Responsibilities of this position include:
This job will be filled at the intermediate professional or advanced professional level, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.
Minimally requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline plus two years' related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for the intermediate professional level.
Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.Additional responsibilities for the advanced professional level include:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and will be required to obtain and maintain at least a SECRET clearance.
