Marrero, Couvillon & Associates is looking for a Construction Superintendent in the Athens, Georgia area.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements include:

• 7+ years of Construction Superintendent experience
• AAS or BS degree in Construction Management is a plus
• OSHA 10 Certification, minimum
• Must have a clean criminal background and be able to successfully pass a drug test
• Must be eligible to legally work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify eligibility check.
• Must have very good communication skills; verbal and written.
• Must be able to demonstrate past project success.
• Must be able to effectively lead workers, both skilled and non-skilled, company and subcontractors.
• Must be able to represent the best interests of the company while interacting with the client / customers in a professional manner.
• Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades
• Detailed knowledge of commercial/municipal construction practices
• Federal Construction Experience Preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

Typical Duties:

• Supervision and Coordination of Trade Contractors and Craft Workforce
• Planning and Scheduling
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Participate in the planning and preparation of the project safety program.
• Conduct daily safety huddles and regular weekly safety meetings.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) review during preparatory meetings with crews and subcontractors.
• Assess the site-specific safety training needs and conduct site safety training.
• Conduct regular walk through inspections of construction areas.
• Identify, document and recommend resolution of hazardous/potential hazardous conditions; follow through to insure corrections have been made.
• Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents.
• Compile data, photographs, etc.; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, local regulations associated with accidents.
• Assist in maintaining all safety systems and equipment, including but not limited to fire protection, fall protection, gas detectors, lock/out, tag/out and grounding systems.
