THE POSITION:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • In this important role, you will provide service to all unemployment compensation customers by gathering information and pertinent data from claimants and employers to validate UC claims in accordance with the Pennsylvania UC Law. You will also assist customers with filing claims for unemployment compensation and answering questions. Experience the satisfaction of public service by helping your fellow Pennsylvanians.
  • These positions are headquartered at the Harrisburg UC Service Center and the positions will report onsite for at least the duration of the probationary period.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch. Work hours may be negotiable based on operational needs.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to telework, part time after the successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection or broadband internet service with download speeds of at least 25 Mbps and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Mobile Hot Spots, DSL, Dialup, and Satellite internet cannot be used. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Successful completion of the Unemployment Compensation Intake Interviewer Trainee (commonwealth title) program;
    or:
  • Three years of customer service or office support experience which includes two years of experience resolving customer impact issues;
    or:
  • Any equivalent combination of experience or training which includes two years of experience resolving customer impact issues.
