SunFoods, LLC a leading distributor of rice in the US and abroad, is currently hiring for a
QA Scale House Operator at our Mill located in Woodland, CA.

Asanentry level position, our QA Scale House Operators grade and inspect incoming paddy and rice during milling and packaging, weigh inbound and outbound shipment(s), and assist in maintaining sanitation of our facility.

Here are some of the
Essential Duties and Responsibilities included for this position

Scale House duties:
Obtain probe sample from each delivery truck and check for various product quality characteristics including insects. Grade samples from trailer per USDA and customer standards.
Direct trucks to appropriate pit for unloading.
Act as weigh master and weighs inbound and outbound shipment.
Track paddy appraisal results on the computer and enter all paddy rice receiving tags into computer system.
QA duties:
Collect samples at various processing locations in the mill and packaging line and grade samples per USDA, SunFoods, LLC and/or customer standards.
Verify proper code dates and package weights in packaging.
Perform metal detector checks.
Record findings and notify lead/supervisor/manager of out of specification products.
Maintain good housekeeping and a cleaning of scale house. Assist in sanitation efforts within department and other departments as needed.
Must be dependable and able to lift up to 20lb frequently and up to 50lb occasionally.
Other duties may be assigned (ie. assist with safety initiatives).

Computer Skills:Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (ie. Excel Spreadsheet and Word Processing).

Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percent.

Other Qualifications:Must be able to work rotating shifts, any shifts, weekends and overtime as needed
