Job Description:


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with key partners in all business lines to assist with data management including but not limited to: security reference, credit data integrity
  • Interact with all market data vendors including but not limited to: Markit, Moody's, S&P, Fitch and Bloomberg
  • Develop strategic partnerships with external providers and market data vendors to enrich data and improve our inbound data platform
  • Serve as a key partner to the firm's portfolio managers in delivering timely and accurate security investment information
  • Interfacing with Traders, Portfolio managers, New Accounts Group, Fund Accounting, Performance and Compliance
  • Work closing with the different business functions in order to capture Critical Data Elements (CDEs) used in their enduser process
  • Assist Data Quality Control Group with maintenance of accurate and consistent information flows
  • Track and monitor the data quality issues that are discovered and provide status to senior management Data Quality Issues, and reporting KPI Metrics
  • Having deep understanding of business requirement that drive data quality, translating those requirements to quality rules and decomposing those rules to properly place their execution in the data flow
  • Helping Build out a Data Dictionary
  • Working along side with internal reporting team to map out Security master data fields for external reporting
  • Working with PowerBi/Tableau to build our better reporting across the organization to provide data transparencies
  • Familiarities with Duco recons to help create recons between systems/vendors
  • Manage and oversee all Rating exception as well as obtaining Credit Estimate
  • Project management: engaging with development and production teams as well as external partners to lead project and give updated timelines on track progress
  • Work with downstream business endusers in order to provide Tactical Data quality remediation
  • Work with technology in order to provide strategic data quality remediation work effort analysis, monitor progress and report status to senior management
  • Managing, reviewing all our Vendor contract on an annual basis
  • Manage our Ares India team with all task outsource and build out better KPI reporting's

Qualifications:
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or other businessrelated discipline

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in high quality, global capital markets or investment management firms with expertise in Operations
  • Experience in Investment Operations, Fund Accounting, Information Technology or Software Development life cycle preferred
  • Prior experience with an alternative asset manager preferred, broader asset management experience preferred
  • Strong Understanding of Bank Loans
  • Understanding of Bloomberg and Markit Vendors
  • Strong fixedincome product knowledge, Credit Facilities, CLO's, CDO's variable rates securities, and fixed income securities
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, or PowerBI
  • Hedge fund, Credit or Private Equity experience is a plus

General Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of financial data and diverse investment vehicles (such as Institutional Separate Accounts, SMA/Limited Partnerships, Open-End Mutual Funds, Closed-End Funds, UCITs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with institutional asset management research, trading workflows, and associated systems. Solid understanding of the data points associated with different asset classes
  • Ability to extract meaningful information from extensive research and analysis to effectively present facts and findings in a digestible format, a keen eye for attention to detail
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and leading project prioritization discussions to drive product vision and roadmap.
  • A selfdirected individual with a cando attitude, willing to work in an energetic, collaborative and fastpaced environment, proactive in nature, and a proven ability to resolve issues with mínimal supervision
  • Proven outstanding communication (written and verbal), presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Expert with Excel for data analysis, including modeling and complex lookups
  • A handson approach and ability to synthesize business operations and talent needs
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands
