is seeking a
Functional Analyst (Staff Associate) to assist our US Navy client, the Director of Acquisition Talent Management (DATM).

The job is on-site at the
Pentagon,
VA supporting our team providing support for NAVY Top Brass/Executive level leadership.


Mandatory Requirement:

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Very detail oriented, able to handle multiple ongoing actions at once, and support the Action Officers in reviewing documents, preparing spreadsheets, preparing briefs, and nomination forms in various formats.

Experience with MS Publisher would be a plus, for newsletters and Acquisition Excellence Award (AEA) post ceremony artifacts. Also, an understanding of the Dept of the Navy's Acquisition Workforce would be an added bonus.


Success for working in this position requires:

  • Collect and review DON Acquisition Work Force (AWF) data for quality, analyze for trends or patterns to inform program assessment. The Contractor will investigate and resolve data anomalies or unexpected findings. The Contractor will compile, summarize, and format data for reporting purposes. The Contractor will configure metrics, analysis, charts, and slides into a presentation-ready format in support of DATM briefs,
  • Coordinate the nomination and selection processes for several nominative programs, training, and awards with the DATM staff and the SYSCOMs as required,
  • Monitor DON compliance with established nominative program policies and implementing guidance and propose and implement government approved corrective actions if identified across the SYSCOMs,
  • Analyzes current and future needs for AWF rotations, training, and awards programs,
  • Attend meetings and provide minutes for government approval,
  • Initiate, develop, draft, and submit DON instructions for the various nominative programs for government approval,
  • Plan and coordinate awards ceremonies,
  • Coordinate guest speakers for nominative training opportunities and events,
  • Coordinate nominative program participants to be guest speakers at other AWF events,
  • Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office graphic and office automation tools (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and produce documents without errors,
  • Possess experience and knowledge in proofreading and editing documents that are highly technical in nature which were created by others to ensure proper format, grammar, and style,
  • Must possess excellent communication, customer service and telephone skills and work with others at all levels, as a team member,
  • Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills,
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments, including, proof reading, grammar, and analytical skills, and
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.

Education and Experience:


  • Minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
