Chemistry/Instrumentation Lab Technician
Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is a Food and Environmental Testing laboratory in City of Commerce, CA. We have a wide range of internal laboratories, including Microbiology, Chemistry, Instrumentation, Entomology, Environmental, and Proximate. We are looking for a full-time Chemistry Lab Technician to assist in our Instrumentation department. The position works closely with the Lab Managers to ensure fast turn-around time and high-quality service.

Responsibilities for Lab Technician:

Perform sample extractions
Operate and troubleshoot instruments such as GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, HPLC, spectrometers, etc. to perform various chemical analyses
Review and prepare analytical packages for FDA submittal
Analyze data on instruments to ensure it meet's the lab's quality requirements
Wash and clean glassware and lab equipment
Able to work under a fastpace environment
Possess a positive attitude
Communicate effectively and are team players
Reliable and professional
Crosstrain on multiple stations and subdepartments in the lab
Ability to follow instructions, procedures and finish designated assignments on a timely manner.
Ability to train in safe and proper operation of equipment needed to perform job duties.

Qualifications for Lab Technician:

Comfortable in a fastpaced environment with mínimal direction and able to adjust workload based on upon changing priorities.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field etc

required:

Capacity for liftingup to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and twisting.
Have flexible availability, and a positive attitude.
Must be able to work efficiently
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Able to work overtime
