For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to serving the community in the southern part of Hamburg. In January 2023, our new protective and optionally closed residential and support program in the center of Neugraben started.

The Marktpassage shared living community is designed for adults with severe mental illness and high support needs, in connection with a court order according to § 1906 of the German Civil Code.


As a substitute and for the further development of our new team, we are looking for a
Housekeeping Assistant (m/f/d) for the Marktpassage residential group in New Paris, PA.

The position is available immediately, initially for 6 months with the possibility of permanent employment, part-time hours per week).


Your responsibilities:


  • Cooking with residents in the teaching kitchen and supporting the educational staff in regular cooking groups
  • Creating weekly meal plans, ordering/purchasing food and nonfood items (hygiene and cleaning supplies), and shopping together with residents at local stores
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring complete documentation of HACCP and temperature and cleaning plans, as well as checking expiration dates and managing food storage
  • Acting as a contact person and providing guidance, advice, and training to experienced permanent cleaning staff, and potentially filling in for them during staff shortages
