TAY Psychological Services is looking for a clinician with experience working with transition-age youth and young adults - a very rewarding population

The clinician works as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a Federally-funded education and training program for disadvantaged youth ages 16 to 24.

Primary responsibilities
Provide individual psychotherapy with option for groups and couples.

Create comprehensive therapeutic assessments and case management plans.

Collaborate with Drug & Alcohol Specialists in short term counseling for co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.

Collaborate with physician and nursing staff on psychotropic medication monitoring.

Develop and/or lead psycho-educational skill building groups to promote mental health on topics such as relaxation training, anger management, mood regulation, assertiveness skills, handling relationships, and sleep hygiene.

Participate in Information exchange through regular documented case conferences with clinical and non-professional staff.

Develop and participate in staff education and training on bullying, adolescent growth and development, sexual harassment, appropriate behavior, boundaries, and consequences.

Schedule
Availability for at least 16 hours/week with additional hours available up to a total of 30.


Qualifications
License in California as a LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or Psychologist.

At least 1 year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults


Additional Information
This is an independent contractor position.

Compensation is $75 per hour.

Location is in downtown Los Angeles, within minutes of the convention center. Currently, most services are being provided remotely.

Currently, TAY provides staff to a training center in downtown Los Angeles, and is in need of additional clinicians to treat and assist youth in changing their lives and growing out of poverty.
