  • Your responsibilities and tasks:
  • Provides technical guidance to workshop employees
  • Supervises employees, assigns work orders and supports employees with organizational, technical or procedural issues
  • Consults on repair methods and procedures, as well as supports the continuous development of the workshop
  • Administers technical repair documents
  • Supports the Head of Workshop in recruitment and technical development of the workshop staff
  • Conducts performance reviews with his direct supports and coaches employees to improve performance as needed
  • Employs a proactive approach to safety management and ensures adherence of employees to QHSE guidelines
  • Oversees and triggers maintenance of repair machinery and equipment.
  • Supervises and supports the apprentices during their apprenticeship program.
  • Oversees the rental bowl fleet and gives technical support to rental requests.
  • Ensures that repairs on separators and decanters are performed in accordance to prevailing technical standards for safe operation of the centrifuge
  • Manages daily operation in his area of responsibility to maximize productivity of company resources and ensure customer orders are completed in the promised time frame
  • Monitors department KPI and takes corrective actions in agreement with workshop management to ensure performance goals can be achieved
  • Develops workforce in his area of responsibility to ensure employee competencies match the established guardrails for performance of established repair process
  • Investigates and proposes alternative solutions if existing procedures and processes fail to deliver the required results

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Technical degree in mechanical or materials engineering
  • Alternatively, completion of a formal 3 to 4year apprenticeship as machinist or industrial mechanic with additional repair specific technical training.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the repair of industrial centrifuges
  • Knowledge of materials failure modes
  • Understanding of processes employed in workshop.
  • Preferably experience in leadership roles.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents such as technical reports, drawings or technical procedures.
  • Ability to prepare basic sketches.
  • Knowledge of SAP P11 system
  • PC productivity software
  • Good English communication skills
