Due to our business growth we are recruiting for an experienced OS&D Clerk.

This position will address overage, shortage, and damage issues; research causes of claims; analyze root causes; determine resolutions; and communicate findings to management.

• Performing daily OS&D audit
• Collecting and reporting Date for CHI Location "On Hand" Report Identify overages, shortages and damaged freight
• Receive and enter unloading exceptions
• Communicate with other service centers and/or shippers for missing paperwork or freight.
• Analyze claim data to find root causes of loss and damage claims Communicate with Quality Assurance Manager on freight dispositions for returns, damages, and storage charges.
• Works with other departments to determine corrective measures to prevent future claims
• Daily report monitoring.
• Acknowledges, investigates, negotiates and settles claims
• Interface with both internal and external customers
• Requests documentation and information needed from carriers to resolve claims, or letters of denial
• Handle the disposition of the OS&D freight with the shipper.
• Answer OS&D calls from shippers.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Contact customers to discuss or resolve OS&D/Onhand issues
• Generate OS&D reports
• Billing-OS&D/Onhand
• Issue legal notices of undeliverable freight
• Files claims with carriers
• Execute on hands and refusals.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.
• Professional phone etiquette

Experience:

Previous experience in OS & D and/or LTL Transportation is preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing clerical tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

$ $21.00 per hour
