    Aegis is seeking a contractor to assist with our clients capital project

    expansions/projects.

    The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing capital equipment installation projects within their plastics manufacturing facilities.

    This position requires a blend of engineering expertise, project management skills, and hands-on experience in the plastics industry.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, overseeing electricians and millwrights, ensuring timely and efficient installations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the process.

    Long term contract
    20-40 hours per week (depending on projects
    50-60% travel required, involving site visits, contractor meetings, and procurement activities
    Can be located in IL, WI, IN, KY, TN, AL,CT, MI

    Must-Have:
    Engineering Background with hands-on project installation/ commissioning experience
    Experience overseeing contractors (Millwrights/ mechanics and electricians)

    Nice to have:

    Plastics background:
    Would be nice to see expertise in Extrusion (priority), Thermoforming (2nd), and Injection Molding

    Strongly Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Doesn't need a Bachelors, but needs project installation experience)
    Proven experience in project management, preferably in the plastics manufacturing industry
    Strong technical background with hands-on experience in capital equipment installation and maintenance
    Knowledge of plastics processing technologies, including extrusion (1st),

    thermoforming(2nd),

    and injection molding (not very applicable to what they do but still a good plastics term)
    Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to equipment installation and safety
    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    Willingness to travel as needed to support project installations at various locations (about 50-60% travel to be expected)
