    Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students.     Position: Managing Director of Academics

    OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Match is seeking a Managing Director of Academics (MDA) to play an integral role on the Match Network Support Team. The MDA will work closely with Match's Chief Schools Officer (CSO) to help bring Match's vision for high quality teaching and learning to life in every adult and student learning space across PreK- 12th grade. The MDA will manage Curriculum Specialists, a Director of Data Management, and the Network Arts and Athletics Coordinator. The MDA will collaborate with network and school leaders to help implement and monitor progress on Match's instructional priorities via observations and coaching. The MDA will also work collaboratively with the CSO and school leaders to develop and support Match's school culture priorities.

    The MDA reports to the Chief Schools Officer. The compensation for this position starts at an annual salary rate of $123,064 and can be higher based on prior relevant experience.

    Detailed Job Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Chief Schools Officer, principals, and network leaders to implement Match's academic programming and priorities;
    • Manage the daily work of two curriculum specialists, a data manager, and an arts and athletics coordinator and support their professional development;
    • Support the collaboration of curriculum specialists and directors of curriculum and instruction (where appropriate) to ensure vertical alignment;
    • Collaborate with the data team to ensure that effective data systems are in place, progress monitoring of student data is happening, and we're responding to the data;
    • Oversee school culture practices and compliance with state disciplinary guidance;
    • Support performance evaluation systems;
    • Support Match's family engagement practices preK-12; and
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree;
    • 5+ years of prior relevant experience in school leadership, preferable in an urban education setting;
    • Prior experience developing and/or implementing vertically aligned curriculum (in any content area);

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
    • Ability to work strategically and professionally under pressure and tight deadlines;
    • Mature interpersonal style, ability to interact and relate well with a range of people from diverse backgrounds;
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to write and orally present information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences;
    • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask; and
    • Excitement about the possibility of receiving feedback and using it to grow continually
