- Design and develop tooling solutions for foundry and investment casting processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, develop tooling specifications, and integrate new tooling systems into the manufacturing process.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments for new tooling projects, providing recommendations for improvement and optimization.
- Optimize existing tooling processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency, utilizing principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for tooling-related issues, working closely with production teams to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
- Lead or participate in new product development projects, contributing tooling expertise to ensure successful product launches and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to support their professional development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of tooling designs, specifications, and modifications, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in foundry operations, investment casting, and tool and die design.
- Proven track record of success in process optimization, new product development, and tooling engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly coachable and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
