The Opportunity:

The Business Application Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting with the overall administration, technical support, and user success of insurance business applications within the organization.

Primary Position Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Systems Administration and Configuration:
Make application modifications based on detailed design plans
Develop and maintain security profiles for application(s)
Coordinate and perform necessary application upgrades and enhancements
Work with server team to ensure application hardware is sufficient to support requirements.
Provide guidance to other business application team members on application administration, usage and support.
Maintain active participation in user groups associated with business application(s) to improve user experience & utilization within Hylant Group
Provide application support & assistance to internal customers
Assist with establishing and/or maintaining any integrations impacting the Business Application ecosystem
Assist with the maintenance of centralized documentation and bulletins

Solution Analyst/Project Management:
Work closely with business users to identify their needs and understand the gaps in current application solutions
Work with business sponsors on developing roadmaps for solutions with the goal of meeting business needs and ensuring solutions are being optimized
Work closely with IT staff to design and implement application to meet needs defined in project scope and requirements
Develop and manage project timelines.
Identify resource requirements for projects.
Develop and execute communication plan for projects, including those needed for internal team and business sponsors

Systems Training:
Develop and execute training plan for projects.
Conduct end user training for supported business application(s), including sessions for new rollouts and enhancements
Assist with maintaining job aids and communication regarding changes, enhancements, and upgrades to supported business application(s)
Provide ongoing guidance to Help Desk personnel on ticket triage and resolutions

Professional Development:
Participate in continuing education to enrich and maintain skills and industry knowledge pertinent to the position. Stay up-to-date with trends and changes within Hylant Group and the insurtech industry.
Develop and pursuit goals as established as part of Hylant's Performance Management process.

Qualification Guidelines:

Education:

Requires the minimum of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3-5 years work experience, or adequate combination of both, successfully leading insurance application projects or support.

Technical/Project Management Certifications are a plus, but not required.

Industry:
Knowledge of Insurance is required. Working knowledge of Applied Systems Solutions (Epic, CSR24, Indio) is strongly desired. Insurance licensing or designations are a plus, but not required.
